The year 2018 ended on a good note for the people of Twon Brass. The people of that kingdom collectively chose to dedicate their home to God led by the King and Queen, chiefs, elders and pastors last December.
It was a day of proclamation by King Alfred Diete-Spiff, Amayanabo of Twon Brass and chairman Bayelsa State as he called on all to repent leading the repentance prayer on behalf of the people and kingdom as in biblical times.
Members of the Pastors Forum in the kingdom backed the proclamation/repentance sessions with prayers for the return of the people to God and attendant peace in the land and consecrated the new covenant between the people and God as they anointed.
A thanksgiving session followed next day while King Diete-Spiff proclaimed that the last Sunday of every November be marked as Twon Brass Thanksgiving Day henceforth.
Twon Brass citizens have been making pleasant remarks about the declaration and thanking God for taking over the affairs of the kingdom.
Queen Josephine Diete-Spiff commenting on the thanksgiving said, “It was indeed an amazing ceremony and God did accept our prayers as calm has since returned to our Kingdom. All Glory and Praise be to God as we give Him thanks for His great mercies to us as a people, a race and a kingdom”.
Another native, Ebi Shidi-Spiff responding on Facebook added, “Brass must be Great Again” thanking God for intervention while John Agha prayed that, “All the rulers and residents of the kingdom may reap the blessings of God”.
