The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP), Atiku Abubakar has pledged to provide employment 70 per cent of Nigerian young men, women and youths if he gets into government.

The former vice president noted that in every society the youths are the driving force of development.
He apologized to the people and PDP supporters for coming late as he assured them PDP will give them a better government and make Nigeria work again.

Atiku  said since President Muhammadu Buhari assumed power over 21million Nigerians had lost  their jobs.

Said he:

“The crowd that is here virtually 90 per cent are young men, women and youths, that is why l said, if l win my government is going to be comprised of 70 per cent of young men, women and the youths.  lf you look at the number of people that have registered to vote it is between the range of young men and women. They constitute about 70 per cent. What does it means? It means we have to prepare you to take over the rein of government of this country. We have to prepare you to take over the leadership of this country. so that you can have meaningful career, business, enterprise and jobs.

“Whatever you want to do, we want you to succeed. We are not like APC; you know what PDP had done for this country. When we came to power the price of crude oil was $11 dollars. Yet, we paid all our foreign debts. We brought prosperity by bringing GSMs and information Communication Technology (ICT) to Nigeria. We want to continue on that path of prosperity. l appeal to you vote for PDP.

“Vote and monitor your votes when INEC is counting the votes. lf you do not stay to see how your votes will be counted, APC will cheat you by rigging the polls. You see how APC brought people from Niger Republic and Lake Chad to campaign for Buhari in Nigeria. APC has already destroyed this country. This is the first time we are noticing something like this in Nigeria. At present 21 million Nigerians had lost their jobs since Buhari came to power. APC is the cause of those problems, so vote them out of power,” Atiku urged.

Appreciating the PDP supporters,  the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Prince Uche Secoudus, decried the high rate of poverty, hunger, unemployment that the Buhari regime has plunged the country into since he came to power and urged all to vote for the PDP. “We must vote for PDP because Atiku is coming to rescue Nigeria from poverty, hunger and unemployment and create jobs.”
Secondus said Atiku is the best for the job.

” We believe that Atiku is the best.  With his competence and wealth of experience Nigeria will progress and be great again. But we want lNEC not to use people in IDPs camps to rig elections. If INEC rigs this polls, it would be a trouble of wahala. By the grace of God, Atiku will be the next Nigerian president,” Secondus boasted.

Also speaking at the rally, Senator Dino Melaye, representing Kogi State, begged PDP supporters to vote out APC and vote in PDP to make the party continue the progress it had started. The Edo State PDP chairman thanked all for their patience and introduced some APC leaders in Oredo who defected to PDP to Atiku Abubakar who received them into the party.
