According to him, the Edo Police embarked on a mass aggressive hunt of hide-outs of criminals and apprehended them and some of the exhibits recovered included, three cut to size guns, four single- barrel guns, 103 varied arms and ammunition, charms, native white chalk and others.

ln an exclusive interview with fake Apostle Samuel Ekene, he accepted impregnating his church member.

 He narrated the ordeal thus:

“My name is Apostle Samuel Ekene, pastor of Glory Land Ministry in Benin City. I am 38 years old, married but no child. The reason why l was pararded is because I had a girl in my church named Miracle Nwabueze. Sometime last year in August, l had pre- marital affair with Miracle. ln January 2019, she complained she had stomach pain, that it looked as if she is pregnant. So, l told one of my members, named Happy Johnson to take her to the hospital. When they got to the hospital the doctor confirmed that Miracle is two months pregnant.
The doctor also said Miracle had been taking anti-botic drugs to stop the baby, which led to bad complications in her stomach or womb.

“Then the doctor referred us to another hospital where we did surgical operation and it was successful. The following day my wife and one of my members went to see the girl. My wife was arrested and l went to the station to meet the IPO in charge of the case. The police arrested me, and said l am the prime suspect, took me to my church and got confessional statements from me. During the search the police saw palm kernel, white native chalk, concoctions, native medicines, and other items. It is members of my church that brought it to my church which l used to conduct deliverance and prayer,” he lamented.

Ekene said he has not heard any comment from the girl’s parents since the incident occurred, but claimed his family is in touch with the girl’s relatives. The charms, concoction, native chalk oil found with him, he claimed he uses to do healing deliverance for his members explaining that while some of the items belong to him,  others were brought there by members for their deliverance.

Narrating how she took the girl to the hospital, Happy Johnson, a 32 years old with four children said it was Apostle Samuel that told her to take Miracle to the hospital. She said Miracle was complaining of stomach pain which she suspected to be as appendicitis, but getting to the hospital the doctor said she was pregnant and that the baby had died in her womb because of the anti-biotic drugs she took to stop the pregnancy. She said she regretted being paraded by the police.
