Pastor Abasiandikan Nkono, NDDC Akwa Ibom State Representative, encouraged girls to pursue their dreams with resilience and determination, emphasizing the NDDC’s commitment to empowering girls in STEM.
Mrs. Anthonia Akpan, NDDC Akwa Ibom State Director, stressed the importance of training girls for a brighter future. Experts discussed the role of science in health and hygiene, and hygiene kits were distributed.
Dr. Daniel George, a consultant to the programs, highlighted the challenges and successes of girls in the region, emphasizing the importance of mentorship and perseverance.
Beneficiaries of the “NDDC Help the Girl Child” programme, Ntuk Abasifreke Lawrence and Effiong Samuel, thanked the NDDC for recognizing and supporting young girls who aspire to build careers in science and technology.
