Our attention has been drawn to a purported and erroneous publication in Rivers Today newspaper (Page 1, Volume 8, No. 13, dated Monday, July 25, 2022), with the headline: Ogbakor Rumuji Ne’de (The Senate of the people), Rumuji Community. C/o office of the Paramount Ruler, HRM Ohna Christian Okachieneke Elechi, Rumuji Community.
For the record, it should be known and stated clearly that Ohna Christian Okachineke Elechi who claims to be the paramount ruler/Nnewe-Eli of Rmuji Community and Odegu Kingdom the XII is never, and is never the paramount ruler of Rumuji Community and Odegu Kingdom.
For the record, it should also be known and made clear that the celebration of Ohna Okachineke Elechi on the throne, as the paramount ruler/Nnewe of Rumuji community and Odegu Kingdom respectively is false and should be disregarded by the masses.
Finally, we want to use this medium (platform) to appeal to the people of Rumuji Community, Odegu Kingdom and members of the public to remain resolute and steadfast until the determination of the matter in the State High Court of Rivers State of Nigeria.
