The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Dr Samuel Ogbuku, has described the Niger Delta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Trade, Mines and Agriculture, NDCCITMA, as a catalyst for growth in the Niger Delta region. The Inspector -General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun has accepted the quit notice issued by proprietor of Euphemie Motel to the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit of the Nigeria Police Force lodged in the hotel at Opu-Nembe in Bayelsa State. Suspected political arsonists have set ablaze the secretariats of Eleme and Ikwerre Local Governments in Rivers State.
