As the Nigerian economy continues to nosedive throwing citizens into unprecedented hardship and poverty, concerned citizens are proffering solutions on how to get the country out of its present quagmire but the insensitive don’t seem to see reason for change. It took the general overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church to point the way to his kindred in the Lord’s vineyard. Your Worshipful Majesty, the only king that knows how to get whatsoever he desires; I am on the dust groveling for you. May you live and rule forever! Anytime I think of you, I remember the audacity of courage and determination; that made you unstoppable. I remember how enemies of this kingdom tried to stop you from taking the throne even when they all knew it was your turn; the throne of your fore fathers, your ancestors. Yes, the gang up was massive, with obstacles and barricades all over the place but in all these things, you forged ahead and…

Akoko-Edo Development Association (aka Akoko-Edo Forum) has expressed dismay at the recent spate of attacks on security personnel deployed to Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, particularly the police, by some members of the communities. A first attack was reported in Ojirami, followed by irate Ojah community youths. The restless youths were reported to have attacked a combined team of policemen and soldiers dispatched to their communities to maintain peace a few weeks ago following internal disagreements in the community. Sadly, a police officer lost his life in one of such attacks in Ojah. As the authorities were still investigating this ugly…

Since its adoption, the International Women’s Day has helped to build support for women’s rights and participation in the political and economic arena. In Nigeria, the celebration has assumed…
