The sorry state of the Eleme section of the East-West has continued to take a toll on motorists, commuters and truckers that use that section of the road daily. The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has inaugurated a youth development and empowerment scheme designed to create a comprehensive resources database of the youth population of the Niger Delta region. To protect Odi community in Bayelsa State from frequent landslides, erosion and flooding, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) will soon start the process of awarding contract for the shore protection and erosion control of the community’s shoreline.
