Edo State Labour Party (LP) has denied allegations spreading in the social media that the party was trying to align with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), led by Governor Godwin Obaseki to win the March 18 governorship and State Assembly elections in the state. The death has been reported of Senator Franca Afegbua, the first elected female senator in Nigeria. She died on Sunday, according to family sources at the age of 79.
