The Rivers State governor, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has donated a brand new Land Cruiser Prado TxL Jeep (Midnight Edition) to the Bishop of Ahoada, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Rt. Rev. Clement Ekpeye.
The governor made the donation recently during the commissioning of Ahoada-Omoku road at Ahoada Local Government Area.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after receiving the car key from Governor Wike, Rt. Rev. Ekpeye said he did not lobby or beg for the car despite the fact that he Ekpeye) was aware that Governor Wike had given cars to other Anglican bishops in the state, adding that even the recent DSSR Award conferred on him by the state government, was also not lobbied for.
He commended the governor for the kind gesture.
“I want to use this medium to commend governor Wike for this car he has given to me today. I want to say may God bless him. We of the Ahoada Diocese will continue to pray and support him,” Rt. Rev. Ekpeye assured.
