The Rivers State Government has announced a ten-day schedule for the commissioning and flag-off of major infrastructure projects across the state, beginning December 10, 2025.
Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Benebo Anabraba, disclosed this on Monday during a media briefing in Port Harcourt, where he said the exercise would run through December 23, covering key sectors including healthcare, housing and road infrastructure.
Dr. Anabraba, who also chairs the Projects Commissioning Committee, said the move reflects the administration’s renewed commitment to delivering essential services and development to the people of Rivers State.
“As a government elected on the popular mandate of the good people of Rivers State, we pledged at the inception of this administration to make the welfare of our citizens a priority,” he said, noting that significant investments have been made in critical infrastructure, social welfare and peace-building.
He explained that although there was a temporary disruption in governance earlier in the year, the administration has since resumed full operations, accelerating the execution and completion of projects.
Dr. Anabraba expressed appreciation to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose intervention, he said, helped sustain governance in the state. He added that the government of Sir Siminalayi Fubara is fully back on course and ready to unveil completed projects and flag off new ones to benefit residents.
The commissioning and flag-off activities will span Ahoada East, Ahoada West, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni, Ikwerre, Emohua, Obio-Akpor and Port Harcourt City Local Government Areas.
