The presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed, popularly known as “Jagaban”, has told Rivers people, especially the youths that they are not looking for fish and crayfish in the state, but power to change their lives.
He gave this assurance during the APC presidential campaign rally at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt, on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
Said he: “What we are looking for is authority; authority to change your lives; power and mandate to give you the best of life, to take care of your inheritance, to make sure that all of you, particularly the youths, are empowered to have the best skills in the world that can manufacture, that can produce for export from Nigeria, make Nigeria proud, make Nigeria a blessed nation of prosperity, joy and happiness beyond one day.”
Tinubu explained that he is talking about prosperity with better utilization of the nation’s ports, adding that without peace and security they cannot achieve those aims and dreams.
The APC presidential flag bearer called on the youths to take their lives seriously beyond politics.
“I will by the grace of God become president of Nigeria by the power of your vote. Let us build a nation of joy, a nation of unity, a nation that is hard working”, he said with a pledge to turn Rivers State into a “Forest of joy”.
Also speaking, the governorship candidate of the APC in Rivers State, Pastor Tonye Cole expressed happiness on the large turnout of party members and supporters.
Tonye Cole who expressed confidence that his party will win in the upcoming election, appealed to all to vote for all APC candidates for a better and progressive state
Chairman of APC in Rivers State, High Chief Emeka Beke excited by the enthusiasm shown by party supporters, recalled all that the party had been passing through in the hand of the ruling party in the state, stressing that God is on the side of the opposition party this time around.
According to Chief Beke, “In 2019, they stopped us from being on the ballot, and this time they tried it, but they failed because our God is with us”.
He urged everybody to vote for APC all the way, in order to reshape the nation and the state for the betterment of all.
