Faithful of Diocese of Ahoada, Church of Nigeria Anglican Commune Ecclesiastical Province have held their 2025 Holy Ghost Convention with the theme: Total Restoration (Joel 2: 25).
Speaking at the grand finale of the one-week programme, one of the guest preachers, Rev. ChidiIbenado said that there was nothing wrong in being wealthy or rich as poverty was not a sign of holiness. He stressed that people must learn how to work hard to build riches.
“When you talk about total restoration the perfect example is Job. Throughout history Job suffered the most, but as soon as Job sacrificed, God restored him,” Rev. Ibenado emphasized.
The chairman of the 2025 planning committee, Rev. Dr. Benjamin Clement Ekpeye said that the turnout of 4,000 people during the one week programme showed that God has restored all they might have lost in past years.
“By the nature of what is happening at this grand finale. By the over 4,000 participants in this year convention and by the success we have recorded in this one week programme, we are sure that God has restored us totally.”
Ven. Solomon Michael said that the 2025 convention was a gathering of the faithful of the diocese who have sublime faith in the Lord.
“The 2025 convention of the Diocese of Ahoada is a gathering of the faithful who have sublime faith in the Lord. It is also a convention to attract the blessing and mercy of God in the beginning of the year,” Ven. Michael asserted.
He commended Rt. Rev. Bernard for consolidating on the successes recorded by the former Bishop of the Dioceses; Rt. Rev. Clement Ekpeye.
While the registrar of dioceses of Ahoada, Mr. Uchechukwu Igbegiri said that due to active participation of faithful of the diocese during the convention there would be complete restoration of the had lost.
He described Bishop Hanson as a true religious leader who is prepared to expand and transform the Diocese and win more souls for Christ through convention, evangelism and crusade.
Igbegiri assured that in the next few years the cathedral Diocese project would be completed and dedicated.
Also speaking, Rev. Dr. Richman Ideozu urged leaders and faithful of the diocese to believe and have sublime faith in God.
