The Movement for the Survival of Oghoni People (MOSOP) has conferred a special post-humous award on the late leader of the human rights movement in Nigeria, Oronto Douglas.
The award, which was given at the Bane, Khana Local Government Area hometown of the late Ogoni leader and environment rights activist and writer, Ken Saro-Wiwa, was for Douglas’s outstanding support for the Ogoni Struggle.
The award was handed over to the younger brother of Mr. Douglas, Mr. Otonyo Douglas by a former President of MOSOP, Mr. Legborsi Pyagbara.
