The suspended Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has called on the people of the state to embrace the spirit of Easter by fostering unity, peace, and good governance as the nation journeys towards renewal and transformation.
In his Easter message titled “Renewed by the Resurrection: Advancing Peace, Unity, and Good Governance,” Fubara extended heartfelt greetings to the citizens, emphasizing the significance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a powerful symbol of hope and restoration.
“Easter is a sacred season of reconciliation and unity,” the Governor said. “It is a time when the peace of Christ dwells richly in our hearts, restoring relationships, comforting the afflicted, feeding the hungry, and healing the brokenhearted.”
Reaffirming his administration’s dedication to the people of Rivers State, Fubara pledged continued commitment to effective governance and urged citizens to unite behind the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“I reiterate my unwavering commitment to delivering good governance to the resilient and dignified people of Rivers State,” he stated. “Let us not lose sight of our collective strength. The transformation we all desire is achievable when we act together as one people under God.”
The suspended governor encouraged the public to draw strength from the Easter message — that even in the face of adversity, peace can triumph, and broken dreams can be revived. He concluded with a prayer for peace, love, health, and renewed strength for all citizens.
“May the Risen Christ bless every home in Rivers State and beyond with peace, love, good health, and renewed strength as we continue our journey to a greater future,” he said.
The Governor’s Easter message is seen as a timely call for unity and shared progress amid ongoing efforts to strengthen democratic governance and economic stability in the state and the nation at large.
