A Niger Deltan from Rivers State, Mr. Eze Victor Ugorji of Landover Aviation Business School (LABS) located in Lagos has emerged the best performer of International Air Transport Association IATA) for July 2022/2023.
In a statement made available to National Point, the executive director of LABS, Mrs. Adoke Adiba said Victor Mr. Ugorji earned a distinction.
According to her, Mr. Eze Victor Ugorji, the best performing graduate achieved a distinction in the July 2022 Diet of IATA foundation in the travel and tourism course and was crowned IATA’s overall best performer in Nigeria in a colourful ceremony at the LABS training school in Lagos.
Mr. Ugorji is the ninth award-winner produced by LABS since 2012 and the first male ever to have achieved this feat.
She explained that LABS as a school is poised to provide trainees with world class theoretical and practical training to empower them to become excellent and globally recognized aviation professionals.
“Landover Aviation Business School’s alumni occupy leading positions in aviation in Nigeria and in West Africa. The school continues to push the frontiers of excellent aviation training in the region,”Mrs. Adoke Adiba said.
The executive director commended Mr. Ugorji for his outstanding performance, and urged him to be relentless in knowledge development and his career path.
“I want to charge Mr. Ugorji to maintain the right attitude, good character, and continued exposure as catalysts to career path and life success,” she emphasized.
Also speaking, the business manager of LABS, Mr. Tunde Adeniyi commended Mr. Ugorji for making the aviation school proud.
On his part, Mr. Ugorji thanked the Lord and his father, HRM Eze Sunny Ugorji and family members for their support and encouragement, hinting that the secret to his excellent performance at the Aviation school was the apprenticeship he undertook at their family business.
“While in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, I served as a manager in my family business and I always tried to make room for personal development. It took a lot of effort and sacrifices with a lot of inconveniences but I came out successful.
Therefore, I want to use this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for making it possible and for celebrating me today.
Finally, I also want to thank my father, HRM, Eze Sunny Ugorji, my mother and my siblings for their sound advice and encouragement,” the awardee stated.
