A middle-aged man and a vigilante in Egba community in Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of Edo State, Mr Enaho Odigie, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for raping a minor. Delivering judgment on a one-count charge of alleged rape, the presiding Hon. Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA) has passed a resolution calling on the 18 local government chairmen to create refuse dump sites for the collection of waste in the state. The Deputy Speaker, Maria Oligbi-Edeko moved the motion under matter of public importance over the menace of indiscriminate dumping of refuse on major roads and drainages in the state.
