The Executive and members of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Rivers State have felicitated with five of its members who received different categories awards from the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Rivers State at its just concluded 2024 Press Week and Awards Night ceremony.
The members include Elder Ignatius Chukwu, Regional Manager South South, Business Day Newspaper, who bagged a Lifetime Achievement Award, Clarice Azuatalam, of Verbatim Magazine and Ann Godwin, Bureau Chief, South South of Guardian Newspaper, who received Special Recognition Awards, Anayo Onukwugha, Rivers State Correspondent of Leadership Newspaper and Stephen Momoh, of TVC, who were honoured with Reporters Awards.
The Chapel congratulates and rejoices with them on their well deserving awards, which for each and every one of them is a fitting recognition of their contributions to the growth of the journalism profession and the peace, unity and development of society.
“The chapel is proud of you for the awards and urges you to be inspired by the awards to continue to work harder in upholding the tenets of the journalism profession and the overall benefits and development of the society,” a press statement signed by the Chairman of he Correspondents’ Chapel, Mr. Amaechi Okonkwo, said.
