All Progressives Congress APC woman leader in Imo State, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Nneoma Ifeoma Ndukwu has charged women in the country not to sell their conscience and rights because of money. She reminds the women that, conscience is an open wound and only truth can heal it.
Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Ndukwu gave this charge in an exclusive chat with National Point recently in Owerri.
According to her, ahead of the 2023 general elections, ‘I want to tell our women not to sell their votes or rights during this electioneering period. In fact, Nigerians women should not sell their conscience or value because of money’.
The woman leader stated that though it is God that makes kings and leaders, women should begin to aspire more for any political office or seat in the country.
“Although it is God that makes kings or leaders, however Nigerian women should try to aspire three more for any political office or seat in the country. Any woman can become anything in the political landscape of Nigeria. After all what we need is somebody who is credible and who can deliver on the mandate.”
She reiterated on the need for women’s aspiration and ambition to be intensified across the country, adding that we need somebody who can bring people together irrespective of tribe or gender.
On Imo State having an APC Governor at the moment, Chief Mrs. Ndukwu had this to say: “I want to tell you categorically that Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State is doing well. He has brought even development across the state. In fact, I want to tell you that he has touched lives in the 27 LGAs of the state. I also want to inform you that Governor Hope Uzodinma is women or gender friendly.”
She urged women and girls who are 18 years and above to go and get their PVCs in order to exercise their franchise.
