Bayelsa State Chapter of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), has restated that the party’s two candidates in the forthcoming Senatorial bye-elections remain the best options for the vacant seats.
The immediate past governor of the state, Seriake Dickson, is the candidate for Bayelsa West Senatorial District while the immediate past PDP state chairman, Moses Cleopas, is flying the flag of the party for Bayelsa Central Senatorial District.
In a statement released in Yenagoa, the PDP State publicity secretary, Mr. Ebiye Ogoli, said both Dickson and Cleopas, had been tested in leadership positions and both discharged themselves creditably, insisting that they will give credible representation in the Senate.
Mr. Ogoli, said no candidate from other political parties has the credentials and records of performance held by the PDP candidates and that the party would win the two seats on merits.
