Chief Bridget Osakwe overcame another challenge faced by women in Nigeria when on Wednesday April 7, 2021, she bagged a chieftaincy title from Ebreme Community in Enugu State conferred on her by the traditional ruler of that community in recognition of her efforts in empowering Nigerian women and peacebuilding initiatives in conflict impacted communities. She was installed Nwannyi Bulo of Ebreme (Woman Is Home) .
The chieftaincy was part of a five-yearly anniversary celebration of the monarch’s leadership.
The honour is a second in the respected gentle but effective activist’s history as she was also honoured for her peacebuilding efforts by the Duke Royal Family of Calabar in 2017 as Eka Emem Ufot Duke.
