Governor Udom Emmanuel has stated that he is ready to accept the outcome of the Gubernatorial polls, saying that “anybody who wins is my candidate.”
The governor spoke immediately after casting his vote accompanied by his wife , Dr. Martha Emmanuel
The governor arrived the unit 1, ward 1 Away Iman at 10.36 am and immediately went through the accreditations and voted at 10.43am.
The governor who addressed the press, expressed delight about the impressive turnout and peaceful conduct of voters in his domain.
He stated that he has received reports across the state of large turnout and peaceful nature of the electorate.
But he however expressed disappointed over alleged intimidation of voters by a Commissioner of Police , Rita Okemesi, who he alleged came from Abuja with truck load of Police to harass voters in Eket Federal Constituency.
Emmanuel said he has made a formal complaint to the Inspector General of Police about the infractions, which he described as unacceptable.
