The Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) has upgraded an advertising professional and business executive, Mr. Awolayeofori MacMorrison Harry, to full membership of the council.
Mr. Harry described the development as a significant milestone in his professional career and a boost to his commitment to advancing Nigeria’s advertising industry.
The upgrade, which was granted by ARCON in Lagos, is expected to enhance his professional standing within the country’s advertising and marketing communications sector.
Speaking on the development, the practitioner said the recognition was not merely a personal achievement but a renewed call to promote excellence, integrity, innovation, and professionalism across the advertising value chain.
He identified key sectors that would benefit from his continued engagement to include outdoor advertising, print advertising, broadcasting advertising, digital and online advertising, experiential marketing, public relations, brand strategy and management, media planning and buying, creative design and content development, publishing, corporate communications, event branding and promotions, as well as advertising consultancy and research.
Harry said his company, Sealaw Investment Resources Limited, remains committed to delivering professional services based on transparency, quality service delivery, and strategic thinking.
“My journey in the advertising profession has continually reinforced an important truth: when clients, partners and investors entrust you with their resources, your integrity becomes part of the investment,” he said.
He noted that the advertising industry in Nigeria was undergoing significant transformation as businesses increasingly adopt integrated marketing communication strategies to reach diverse audiences.
He stressed that industry practitioners must demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and technical competence to remain relevant in a rapidly evolving marketplace.
“From outdoor billboard structures to digital campaigns, print production, publishing and integrated brand communications, true value lies not merely in visibility but in effectiveness, professionalism and measurable impact,” he stated.
The advertising executive also expressed optimism about the economic potential of Rivers State and Port Harcourt, describing the city as a vibrant commercial centre with growing opportunities for businesses and investors.
