Benin City Hosts James Bond Movies for Independence

As Nigerians mark 61 years of the country’s independence , the managing director of Kada Plaza Cinema and Entertainment Centre, Mr Trevor Pillay, has assured film lovers and the general public in Edo State of a line-up of creative, inspirational action movies for their full enjoyment of the Independence holiday.
Trevor Pillay gave the assurance at the premier movie of the James Bond 007 Action films in Benin City. He said they came to showcase James Bond movies in the state and appealed for patronage from the public.
“The movies of James Bond date back to 1962. I am a big fan of James Bond, and I have been following his movies for many years. It is a movie that has been postponed for many years and we decided to show it on Independence Day in Edo State.
“We just want to show good, creative, suspense action movies to our clients or guests so that they can enjoy themselves on this Independence anniversary,” he added.
Pillay said the center wants to let the general public to know and enjoy what is happening in the entertainment and cinema industry.
“We just want to get more people to watch and talk about the movies as they bring their families, relatives and loved ones to come and enjoy the movies. There are other interesting movies also lined up to showcase to the public, especially our guests and fans.
“The movies are full of romance, suspense, creativity, imaginations and actions. It is going to be a big entertainment for Edo people. That is why we brought these movies to Edo State for people to watch,” he stated.
Also speaking on the movies, former commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in the state, during the Lucky Igbinedion era, Hon. Omorede Osifo Marshall, said James Bond movies are exciting and thrilling.
“James Bond movies are often exciting, nice and thrilling. That is why I took out time to come and watch the films. I expect to see and watch good movies, and at the end of the day, I will be happy I came here for James Bond movies Premier” she said.
Expressing his joy over the return of James Bond movies, a die-hard fan of Kada Plaza Cinema and Entertainment Centre, Mr. StanleyYemi also described James Bond films as thrilling, full of intrigues, humour and excitement. “James Bond movies are very thrilling films. They are movies I have been watching from my childhood.
“There are so many intrigues in the movies, almost very real in appearance; all the time, the films are very exciting. James Bond movies are movies I often like to watch whenever there is an opportunity that is why I came to watch the movie. I thank Kada Plaza for bringing this kind of films for us to watch. It is a way whereby people feel Nigeria’s Independence,” he explained.
