Faithful of Diocese of Niger Delta North (DNDN) have held the second session of the tenth synod of the diocese.
Delivering the charge at Holy Trinity Church, Choba Parish, under the Akpor Archdeaconry, the Bishop of the Diocese, Rt. Rev. Wisdom Ihunwo said that despite the differing political camps, the time had come for Rivers people to sheathe their swords and pursue peace.
According to the bishop, politics should not be used to pull down people because no one knows how the political crisis in the state would end.
The Bishop pointed out that Nigeria was at a crossroads, adding that to pull her back from mediocre leadership requires fundamental changes.
“Nigeria is at a crossroads. We have destroyed our economy due to mismanagement, misallocation ad misappropriation. Public fund is being squandered on a daily basis. Therefore, Nigeria needs fundamental changes in order to get things right,”
“The goal of the disciple is to produce leaders who are detribalized. In fact, when a people begin to have Jesus Christ operate in them that is when the nation will have peace.”
