Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs has been appointed to chair the National Burial Committee constituted by Ijaw National Congress (INC) for the burial of foremost Ijaw National Leader, Chief Edwin Clark, who passed on on February 17, 2025.
The 17-member committee is made up of eminent leaders of the Ijaw nation drawn from across the different zones and states.
A statement by the National Public Secretary, Chief Ezonebi Oyakemeagbegha, said the committee was constituted by the President of INC, Prof. Benjamin Okaba, after wide consultations.
Other members of the committee include Chief Fredrick E. Owotorufa (Vice Chairman), Dr. Ayakeme E. Whisky (Secretary), Dr. Alfred Mulade, Princess (Mrs.) Adesola Ebiseni and Mrs. Peremor Opiah.
The other members are Chief Oforibobalaka George Dada, Chief Kennedy Odiowei, Bishop Soroaye, High Chief Philips Brown Agu, Chief Ufikairo Monday Efet, Chief) Ezonebi Oyakemeagbegha and HRM Godspower Oporomor.
The rest are Engr. Fenibo Onengiyeofori, a Representative of Pa E.K. Clark’s family and a Representative of IYC.
Oyakemeagbegha said the date and venue of the inauguration of the committee would be publicized on a later date.
