Members of Edo Dynasty United Worldwide with the children at Uyiosa Orphanage and Widows
To help put smiles on the faces of the less privileged and the beggars, an NGO, Edo Dynasty United Worldwide (EDUW) recently distributed food and other food items to beggars on Mission Road, a major road in the Edo State capital and children at Uyiosa Orphanage and Widows Ministry.
The group also used the opportunity to visit one of the popular government hospitals where face masks, hand sanitizers, toilet rolls and other items were disturbed to nursing mothers in the hospital.
Edo Dynasty United Worldwide (EDUW] administrator in Edo State, Bevy Efe said they came to celebrate the Easter with the Orphanage Children.
” We are here to celebrate with children in Uyiosa Orphanage home, patients in the hospital and beggars on Mission Road because they are human beings like us. We believe that Easter celebration is to mark the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“We felt it is not good to celebrate it with ourselves alone but, to come here to celebrate with the orphanage children. In doing this, we put it into consideration to visit the less privileged, beggars, needy and those in hospital to grace the Easter with them on behalf of our president, Comrade Ehigie Osewingie, who is not here and other members of the group on whose authorities, we are here.
The administrator said they are all family. ” We are here to tell them we are their fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters; that we are always here for them. We came here with some food items,” Efe said.
A member of the group, Don Imatitikua, appealed to other Edo prominent people to join EDUW to help give back to the society.
“EDUW is a global group, aimed at assisting the governments in meeting the needs of the poor and ordinary people in the society. Today Easter Sunday, we came out to give to the children in the orphanage home, patients in hospital and beggars in Benin city. We want to appeal to other Edo prominent people to join and help give back to the society,” he said.
Encouraging the orphans to take God as their hope in life, Comrade Cynthia Bright, another member, urged the children to be courageous and see themselves as leaders. She said EDUW came to share love with them and to help them know that Jesus Christ had paid the price for enjoyment of good life for them.
Comrade Cynthia advised that the only way they can achieve success in life is for them to look unto Jesus Christ, who is capable of meeting all their needs.
In her comments, Comrade Evenly Inneh, said they decided to act to identify with the less privileged and needy in the state. “We decided to do this today, because we members of the EDUW deemed it fit to identify with the voiceless, less privileged and the poor; to show them love and care. To also let them know that EDUW is with them”.
Responding on behalf of Uyiosa Orphanage Home and Widows Ministry, the matron in charge, Sarah Amadin said she very happy with the cooked food and raw food items given to the orphans.
She said she really appreciate the food items donated to the children and pray to God to give more funds to EDUW to continue their goodwill.
Items given out at the center included; cartons of Indomie noodles, bag of garri, groundnut, beans, eggs, red oil, washing soap, toilet rolls and packet s of sweet among others.
