The New Nigeria Dream Initiative NNDI an offshoot of the New Dream for Grassroots Development, NDGD, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to decentralize Voters Registration Centres Across the Country, in other to ease the sufferings of the masses.
According to the National Coordinator NNDI, Dr Breakforth Onwubuya, this is coming on the heels of the stampede at the Old parade ground Abuja that led to the death of potential Voter who left his home to get captured and ended up loosing his life. During the extension special concert.
He called on INEC to decentralize Voters Registration Centres Across the Country to include the 8,806 Wards and the 774 LGA and convert all polling units to registration centers to speed up the process of the Continuos Voters Registration.
Meanwhile the NNDI has stepped up it’s campaigns on Voters Education targeted at ensuring that Nigerians in the 774 LGAs, 8,806 Wards, including the 36 States and FCT are galvanized to go get registered and also pick up their PVC ahead of the 2023 general elections. To this end a total of 46million Nigerians have heeded the call and still counting following the extension as the NNDI is not leaving any stones unturned in the Voter’s Education.
