Police First Sergeant Renita Rismayanti was on November 16, announced winner of the 2023 UN Woman Police Officer of the Year award.
The Indonesian lady received the award during the UN Police-UNIPOL Week which took place at the UN headquarters from November 13-17.
She was chosen for the honour for her exemplary service and contributions to empowering women
Congratulating the awardee, Mounir Bouaziz, a Facebook commentator stated, “Discipline, a spirit of work, initiative and adhering to the principles of the work of the United Nations are the secret to the success of these individuals.
“Congratulations to those who provide humaritanian work and contribute to building a people torn apart by political differences so that they can stabilize and enjoy development.”
