The Chairman Tai Local Government in Rivers State, Matthew Dike has inaugurated Tai Special Science School, (TSSS) to prepare secondary school students from the area for career paths in medicine, medical health sciences and engineering.
The inauguration of the school temporarily located at Uedeme, Nonwa was one of the activities that marked the chairman’s 100 days in office. Work on the permanent site will be completed soon, according to a press release by Tai New Media team.
Dike charged the students to be dedicated to their studies, and assured them that the Local Government would provide all that is needed for them to succeed in the Tai Special Science School, and completion of their University education.
The Chairman said the Council would set up the Tai Education Trust Fund, to manage the affairs of students in the Special Science School, and added that the Tai Legislative Assembly, would also give legality to the Institution through a legislation.
Dike described the students as treasured possession of the government and people of Tai and said they were a beacon of hope for Tai people.
