Chief Godwin Gbenikanwa, the Fiowei and Spokesperson of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Delta State, has attributed most of the recent development of Gbaramatu Kingdom to Tantita Security Services Limited.

The Fiowei, who spoke in a welcome speech he delivered at the grand finale of the 2026 Amaseikumor Festival at Oporoza in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State on Saturday, said it was unthinkable that people that had enormously benefited from Tantita Security Services Limited would step out to drag down the name of the company.
Tantita is a major company contracted to secure oil pipelines in the Niger Delta. Its chairman is High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, a major former agitator for the development of the Niger Delta.
The National Assembly had only a few days ago passed a bite on confidence on Tantita. This was after a syndicated campaign for the decentralisation of the contract of Tantita by some sectional champions and former friends of High Chief Ekpemupolo.

Chief Gbenikanwa said even though Ekpemupolo and other Gbaramatu leaders had asked him not to speak on the matter, he could not possible keep quiet about it because Tantita was principally responsible for the good news that have been coming out of Gbaramatu Kingdom of recent.
The Amaseikumor Festival is a weeklong festival that began on Monday April 6 and ends on Saturday April 18 with the emergence of the Amaseikumor masquerade accompanied by Chief Ekpemupolo and other eminent people of Gbaramatu kingdom.
The festival carries out a cleansing operation of Gbaramatu and restores the kingdom to its pure state. During the week, indigenes and their visitors wear white apparels to symbolize the purity of the festival.

The Gbaraun Egbesu masquerade and Ibolomobo-ere deities were also celebrated during the week.
More than 70 traditional rulers and people from across the Niger Delta graced the grand finale where the hospitality of the Gbaramatu people was on display.
