….New President Pledges Inclusive, Dedicated Leadership

Leadership of Ogwashi-Uku Development Association, OYDA, Port Harcourt Branch, changed baton Saturday December 5, 2020 asewly elected executive led by Mr Henry Chiedu Igwe was sworn –in at Galaxy Event Center, Port Harcourt.
Other exco members are-Mr Ifeanyi Ifedinkor, vice president, Miss Rita Ogordinuor, secretary-general, Miss Nneka Emelieze, assistant secretary, Chris Nwakaji, financial secretary and Miss Mary Nwaka, assistant financial secretary. Others are, Mike Azuani, treasurer, and Alexander Ikelia, PRO.
In his post-inaugural speech, the new president, Mr Chiedu Igwe promised to run an inclusive government that ill positively impact both the association and Ogwashi-Uku in general.
He urged his colleagues to be ready to work for common good and Ogwashians resident in Port Harcourt specially, to lend support to help achieve their goals. He expressed appreciation to the leadership of Ogwashi-Uku Development Union, ODU, parent body of ODYA represented at the event by the president Mr Ikelia and secretary Mr Elue Ojie, representative of the Aniocha South Local Government Area, Chief Isaac Anwuzia, distinguished sons and daughters of the community resident in Port Harcourt and all friends who graced the occasion.
Over a million naira was raised as support for the new exco.
Personalities included Chief Peter Osume, a respected business mogul and philanthropist who wa accompanied to the event by a retinue of equally successful friends.
