The member representing Brass-Nembe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Isreal Sunny-Goli has called on Bayelsans to be wary of Governor Henry Seriake Dickson’s end-time’ appointments without portfolio.
He described the recent appointments by Dickson as a Ponzi scheme that will not last long, adding that Dickson can be likened to the infamous “yahoo yahoo boys” (internet fraudsters) that lure unsuspecting Bayelsans with civil service employments and political appointments.
Hon. Sunny-Goil gave the warning in a statement accusing Gov. Dickson of using the same antic with rigging to win election in 2015. He added that the people of Bayelsa State are now wiser and ready to vote APC.
He said, “Dickson seems to be sinking lower as the November 16 gubernatorial election gets near. This is evident in the ostentatious manner he dishes out appointments to his party members with the intention of artificially getting their loyalty and commitment especially to win the forthcoming election.
“In the past few weeks, Dickson has appointed dozens of commissioners as well as special advisers and senior special assistants without portfolios and any sense of governance directions.
“The governor had in his last media chat, mentioned that he will soon inaugurate chairmen and members of the 24 Rural Development Areas, RDAs, after refusing to constitute them since the start of his second term in office.
“This was the same antic he used in 2015 together with rigging. Let me, however, use this opportunity to inform Dickson that the people of Bayelsa State are now wiser and they are ready to vote APC by November.”
