Atiku said since President Muhammadu Buhari assumedpower over 21million Nigerians had lost their jobs.
Saidhe:
“The crowd that is here virtually 90 percent are young men, women and youths, that is why l said, if l win mygovernment is going to be comprised of 70 per cent of young men, women and theyouths. lf you look at the number ofpeople that have registered to vote it is between the range of young men andwomen. They constitute about 70 per cent. What does it means? It means we haveto prepare you to take over the rein of government of this country. We have toprepare you to take over the leadership of this country. so that you can havemeaningful career, business, enterprise and jobs.
“Whatever you want to do, we want you to succeed. We are not like APC; youknow what PDP had done for this country. When we came to power the price ofcrude oil was $11 dollars. Yet, we paid all our foreign debts. We broughtprosperity by bringing GSMs and information Communication Technology (ICT) toNigeria. We want to continue on that path of prosperity. l appeal to you votefor PDP.
“Vote and monitor your votes when INEC is counting the votes. lf you do notstay to see how your votes will be counted, APC will cheat you by rigging thepolls. You see how APC brought people from Niger Republic and Lake Chad tocampaign for Buhari in Nigeria. APC has already destroyed this country. This isthe first time we are noticing something like this in Nigeria. At present 21million Nigerians had lost their jobs since Buhari came to power. APC is thecause of those problems, so vote them out of power,” Atiku urged.
Appreciating the PDP supporters, the national chairman of the PeoplesDemocratic Party Prince Uche Secoudus, decried the high rate of poverty, hunger, unemployment that the Buhari regime has plunged the country into sincehe came to power and urged all to vote for the PDP. “We must vote for PDPbecause Atiku is coming to rescue Nigeria from poverty, hunger and unemploymentand create jobs.”
Secondus said Atiku is the best for the job.
” We believe that Atiku is the best. With his competence and wealth of experience Nigeria will progress andbe great again. But we want lNEC not to use people in IDPs camps to rigelections. If INEC rigs this polls, it would be a trouble of wahala. By thegrace of God, Atiku will be the next Nigerian president,” Secondusboasted.
Also speaking at the rally, Senator Dino Melaye, representing Kogi State, begged PDP supporters to vote out APC and vote in PDP to make the partycontinue the progress it had started. The Edo State PDP chairman thanked allfor their patience and introduced some APC leaders in Oredo who defected to PDPto Atiku Abubakar who received them into the party.
