The gubernatorial candidate of the APC in Rivers State, Architect Tonye Cole has promised the people of Ahoada West LGA a better life when elected as Governor. He stated this today; while addressing his supporters at the APC Ahoada West LGA rally.
According to the co-founder of Sahara Energy, there are so many young people without jobs in the state. He said this is one of the major reasons for poverty and insecurity in the state. He promised to change this trend by bringing jobs to the people. “We will create viable industries that will thrive; We will ensure that young people with ideas have an opportunity to grow.”
The APC candidate addressed the issue of housing in the state, highlighting that Rivers State is the only state in Nigeria without a housing project, even with the numerous housing interventions provided across the country. He promised to give adequate attention to the housing deficit in the state, and ensure agriculture is given its necessary quota.
Pastor Tonye Cole also emphasized on the importance of speaking to the people. “I’m not like those who only talk to their party members and are waiting to be Governor to talk to the rest of you. I will talk to Rivers people now, I will talk to you when I am Governor and I will still talk to you all when I leave office.” Tonye Cole called on all Rivers people across party lines to vote for him, stating that his government will be a government for all.
