Impostors suspected to be fraudsters have hacked the media accounts of the Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Mr. Chiedu Ebie. According to a press statement issued by the Director of Corporate Affairs of NDDC, Ms. Seledi Thompson-Wakama, the impostors hacked into Ebie’s Instagram account. “The criminally-minded people cloned the Chairman’s Facebook account and hacked his Instagram account, ostensibly to use the compromised accounts to defraud unsuspecting persons. “The impersonators are equally using the name and logo of the NDDC to send out dubious business proposals,” Thompson-Wakama said. The Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, in Edo State has celebrated the 61st anniversary of its founding with the award of National Diploma (ND) to 37,061 students that graduated over the last four years. A Benin High Court, Edo State presided over by Justice Geraldine Imadegbelo has sentenced two women to 49 years in prison for trafficking in human beings. Sandra Obasuyi, 29, charged by the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Person (NAPTIP) was found guilty on seven count charges and accordingly sentenced to 49 years and nine years, while the second accused Evelyn Edoleyi, 28 bagged three years for each of the three count charges for a total of nine years imprisonment.
